  in the latest october 15th 2012 watchtower (page 13).... "because of what they perceive as defects in the elders, some individuals who engage in serious wrongdoing in the congregation have refused to appear before a committee of elders assigned to help them.

  this could be likened to a patient who loses out on the benefits of a treatment because he does not like something about the doctor.".

  sounds like they're now trying to stigmatize those who try to avoid judical action.

  Another indicator that Elders are unfit as spiritual doctors are the rise in divorces, broken families and otherwise strained marriages in the Organization.

  You're damn right WT! If I perceive a defect, like poor bedside manners, in my health care provider.....it is Adios!

  Likewise with the JW elders. I've seen plenty of defects among elders. For starters: Elders not presiding over their own households. Add to that, the amount of serious problems prevalent in the congregation that elders are having to deal with unsuccessfully. If elders can't manage their own family problems, much less congregation issues, why in the hell would I want to burden them with mine? I'd rather pay a licensed and well educated shrink!

  Crap! Our elders have a problem with just arranging to get the toilets cleaned properly and having the paper dispensers kept full!

  Blondie asks: How many divorces have you seen in your congregation?

  Answer: We've had our share. It is ongoing; we recently had one divorce finalize with another in the early stages and many other marriages strained to the limit with more divorces to come! Funny thing, many, and I say many of those in our congregation commenting on this article are on their 2nd marriage, servant body included. It is sad indeed to see the tears and pain on the faces of those affected by divorce!

  No more 3-day DCs starting in 2013?

  apologies if there is another recent thread on this, but i have heard from 4 different people in 3 different geographic areas (including someone who does advance work for the dcs), that beginning in 2013 the three day dc program will be replaced by a second two-day circuit assembly.

  some people were passing the info along like a secret, others seemed to think that everyone already knew.. if everyone in j-dub land is already talking about this, how is it not all over this forum??.

  anyway, can anyone confirm or deny?.

  WT is going to do away with DCs and thereby lessen debt. WT is going to increase seating capacity at all current and future circuit assembly halls. WT is also going to increase the amount of debit/credit card ATM stations at circuit assembly hall sites for the purpose of increasing revenue.

  I would say that money has more influence on how the WTBTS operates than Holy Spirit!

  Check this out too: Af ter Joab saw to it that Uriah had died as commanded by David, notice what cold hearted comment David made to make Joab feel better over the situation regarding the ambush/death of innocent Uriah:

  'At that David said to the messenger: “This is what you will say to Joab, ‘Do not let this matter appear bad in your eyes, for the sword eats up one as well as another."' (2Sam 11:25)

  i have collected and assembled hundreds of letters, documents, publications, personal communications, e-mails from the branch etc.

  etc.. my original intent was to make some type of searchable database but my time has been taken over by more important things in life for me.

  i don't care about the jw's all that much anymore and who or what gets what information i don't really care.
